AUTHOR Douglas Coupland has contributed to a new coffee table book dedicated to the life and times of Lara Croft of Tomb Raider fame. It features pictures, facts and game strategies as well as Lara-based fiction. Coupland reckons Lara is a bit special. "Lara Croft is the most modern person on Earth," he gushes. "She represents the radical new shift in human existence - humanity's next phase where we download ourselves entirely into silicon. Lara is simply a Valentine from the future." Un- huh.
